April 2, 2010
After an April Fool's snowstorm, we had lots of trail to break out. Bryan, Tim, Sabrina, Cynthia, and myself headed up the Nineteen Mile Brook Trail with our faithful trail dogs Terra and Madison. Upon reaching the junction with the Carter Dome Trail we met a hiker named Harry who joined our ranks to help with the trailbreaking.

After returning to Zeta Pass on the trail we just broke out, we continued breaking trail up to South Carter. Harry headed back but the rest of us proceeded over to Middle Carter which was Grid Peak #200 for Sabrina!!

We then headed back to South Carter. Sabrina mentioned running down. It sounded like fun so we went ahead of the group while attempting to run in snowshoes. With deep fluffy snow we couldn't help but head straight down the mountains rather than take all the switchbacks. Back at the junction of the Carter Dome and Nineteen Mile Brook Trail we took a break to give the others time to catch up.

A few minutes later when everyone arrived, we headed out together.
