Today was a big day for Al Aldrich. He would become the 12th Grid finisher. We would be hiking Flume and Liberty although Al only needed Liberty to complete his Grid. I needed both peaks for mine. Our large group of about 25 left Lincoln Woods. We walked down the Lincoln Woods Trail and up the Osseo Trail to the summit of Flume.

As we neared Liberty, Al led the way to the summit.
